DC Nation Shorts is a upcoming number of shorts that will air on Cartoon Network in 2012. The shorts will be part of the DC Nation block, and will consist of Plastic Man, Super Best Friends Forever, Doom Patrol, Batman,[1] Lego Batman, Amethyst, Princess of Gemworld, Teen Titans, Blue Beetle and Gotham City Impostors. The shorts will air alongside Green Lantern: The Animated Series and Young Justice. The shorts are produced by Warner Bros. Animation.

Premise

Plastic Man

Shorts about the DC superhero, Plastic Man. The shorts will be based on the Puddle Trouble pilot developed by Andy Suriano, Tom Kenny, and Stephen DeStefano.[2][3]

Super Best Friends Forever

Created by Lauren Faust, creator of My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic. Super Best Friends Forever is about Wonder Girl, Batgirl and Supergirl joining together to fight crime.[1][4]

Doom Patrol

Shorts about the DC superhero team, the Doom Patrol.

Amethyst, Princess of Gemworld

The trailer briefly showed footage of a short based on Amethyst, Princess of Gemworld.[5]

Batman

Shorts about the DC superhero, Batman.[4] Animated by Aardman Animations (the company behind Wallace and Gromit).[6]

Teen Titans

Shorts about the Teen Titans. Follow-up to the Teen Titans television series from 2003–2006, with the principle cast reprising their roles. They will be drawn more in a chibi-style, but the basic animation style will remain intact.[7][8]

Blue Beetle

During the premiere of Green Lantern: The Animated Series, the preview for DC Nation included clips from the Blue Beetle trailer starring Garrett Plotkin.[7]

Lego Batman

The preview for DC Nation included animation of Lego Batman.[7]

Gotham City Impostors

The preview for DC Nation included animation of Gotham City Impostors.[7]
